LV3 - I feel comfortable dropping folks

Well done on making it this far! Keep tinkering with the suggestions to make the process more comfortable for you. At this point, I’d encourage you to start experimenting a bit outside of these guides.

A Basic Safety

We’re finally going to add some spice to our suggestions. But before we do, we must give our partner an escape hatch if they need it.

During your pre-talk, ask your subject if they already have any safeties. If so, make sure they’re comfortable using them. The green, yellow, and red stoplight variety is pretty popular. Tell them you’ll give them a simple Done safety after your induction if they don’t have this. Your suggestion can go something like this…

ā€œAnd now, before we go any deeper, I want to make sure you know that, at any time during this session, you can say the word ā€˜Red’ and come immediately out of trance. No suggestion can prevent you from using this word. Your subconscious will say it for you as a reflex. If, at any time, you want a session to end, you will say Red. If you find a suggestion unacceptable, you will say Red. If you feel that anyone is tampering with your ability to say Red, you will say Red. Right when you say Red, all of my suggestions will stop, and your mind will return out of trance, completely safe, refreshed, with all of my suggestions stopped, with a full and complete memory of the session.ā€

In addition, if you’re comfortable adding your own suggestions at this point, consider adding ā€˜green’ and ā€˜yellow’ options. These will all be spoken automatically, so let ā€œgreenā€ come out when they particularly like something, and yellow will freeze the scene in place and pause any suggestions. I assure you that - even if you have them hypno-gagged, watching them blurt out a green without realizing it is a lot of fun. It’s the hottest of feedback.

Fractionation

Fractionation is fantastic. It’s easy to use, has potent post-trance effects, and is a flexible cheat code you can use when you get comfortable. Fractionation is bringing someone in and out of hypnosis rapidly. Each time, your subject’s trance deepens, and they can more easily re-enter that state. As a perk of doing this, your subject will also remain incredibly suggestible after coming out of trance for a short time.

I’d like to present you with two options for fractionating. Smoothly counting them out and back in, and the more authoritative Awake and Sleep method.

Method 1 - The Number Slide

I prefer to avoid having this method used on me. I feel annoyed being brought out of trance and sent down slowly and having to wait for the hypnotist to ā€˜get on with it’ and stop throwing me around. However, other folks find this comfortable and strongly prefer it over the Awake and Sleep method.

This method is easy - just start counting your subject up as you would typically to bring them out of trance. However, on the last number, after a short moment, get them back down with something like…

ā€œBack to Nine, eyes closed, dropping down again, so comfortable, so easily, automatically, irresistibly dropping back inā€¦ā€

And continue on. Count your subject back up and down three or so times.

Method 2 - Awake and Sleep

Fractionation Deepener script

Make sure your subject is positioned comfortably beforehand - the effects of being fractionated can go hard - enough that I’ve seen a few unfortunate fuzzballs fall out of their chairs and right out of trance. In addition, it’s nice to suggest they can move if they need to - such as: ā€œIf your body needs to reposition itself to become more comfortable, allow it to do so… letting it shift you back into place so you can support yourself as your depth of trance increases.ā€

Oh - another note - go ahead and just use Awake and Sleep. Other ā€˜tists will likely use this exact wording, and it’d be a waste to not take advantage of it. Treat your subject to an easy time going down, and lend your fellow hypnotist a hand in getting your subject deeper.

It’s tempting to hammer on this, but you want to cap it around 5 or so times. Frankly, three is plenty, and five is likely overkill.

🦈 Oh snap! I love these tips!

A few suggestions about going deeper and feeling nice can be a good treat while you’re going down. Also, it’s nice to have a heads-up before using this. Coming back up and going back down can be annoying if you’re not expecting it.

You don’t have to, but snapping on top of the word ā€˜Sleep’ can make the instruction feel… snappier. It suggests that going down is quick. This accent intensifies the feeling, at least for me.

As a bonus, performing Fractionation with your subject will help them get into trance quickly on their next session. Plus, I can’t think of a more solid convincer than feeling the ebb and flow of coming in and out of trance.

(Uhh - I’d like to apologize to the folks I fractionated 20 times in a row while learning. Sorry about that! I’m glad I convinced you that you can be hypnotized, nameless new guy?)

A Treat for your Fine Work, New Hypnotist

Exploiting partial large-muscle catalepsy

Now that we know how to fractionate our subject, it’s time for a little treat for both of you.

We will make an instruction bundle that will let your partner come partially out of trance, but be able to speak, move their head and neck, and look around. I’m always absolutely fucking delighted when my subjects agree to this in our pre-talk. Leaving them helplessly frozen for affection, then sending them right back down for more tickles my inner super-villain.

The following text has a substantial amount of D/s flavor - adjust the wording to taste according to your relationship with your subject. If you’re giving a polite demo, this will sound entirely different.

ā€œNow, in just a moment… while you’re enjoying this deep, relaxing trance, I’m going to allow you to have a small taste of your freedom back. When I say the words ā€˜Heads Up,’ you’re going to become aware, halfway coming out of trance. You’ll be able to move your neck, and your head, open your eyes, and use your words… but your body will remain frozen in place. It will feel as if some force is holding you, and if you were to push back against that force, it would feel like something was pushing back twice as hard… locking you in position. In fact, I’d love for you to try this. Give it your best effort to move your body, and find just how profoundly impossible it is to move as you struggle and fight back. I’ll let you have just a few moments to struggle and push back as hard as you like… just so you can know how trapped you are.ā€

(Take a moment to walk around them, giving them no more than five or so seconds… )

ā€œGood. And as you continue to resist, notice just how good it feels to give in, and relax, and allow yourself to enjoy just how wonderful it is to be in this trance, feeling your body relax once again, drifting completely back into that nice, comfortable spot. And now, I’m about to give you that instruction. When you hear those words, you’ll become aware again, halfway out of trance, able to move your neck and head, and able to look around, and able to speak to me… But just as before, your body will be locked into place. And after a few moments of being back, I’m going to send you right back down into that wonderful, profoundly deep trance you’ve become accustomed to. Heads Up.ā€

And now, for maybe… not more than 20 or 30 seconds, you can spend a few moments with your subject. If you previously agreed that touching is welcome in the pre-talk, and you’ve confirmed they have phantom touch, teasing at that while frozen in the mirror can be a hell of a trip for you both.

At the end of this time, give them an ā€œAwake… and sleep… all the way back downā€¦ā€

The Fun Zone - Taking Advantage of Fractionation

Since your subject has been fractionated, you can probably pull off some cool tricks.

First, get consent - this is going to be fun. After you’ve brought your subject out of trance, ask, ā€œAnd… are you curious to see just how quickly you can go back down?ā€

You can simply step in close to your subject and slowly count them down from ten. When you hit one, you can optionally tell them to drop, describing it in detail. Trust me, it’s a treat for the subject as much as it is for you as the hypnotist.

If you use the Awake and Sleep method, I like to use an Awake to get the subject’s complete attention to prime them. Tell them to Sleep, optionally giving them a visual cue with my hands to close their eyes. You can use this pattern to stretch out parts of your session where your subject may become less entranced.
